Life is dirty and it's down below. You can take my hand baby, I don't know which way to go. I've got no business, I'm just a man. Pretty girls and filthy cities won't turn my head again. We all want to have it both ways, to be the tourist and the native, to reinvent ourselves but not to change. The breaking point is near. Why don’t we take it for real? Feeling comfy, back home again, not domesticated to nod my head on command. The barrel's still smokin', we're shakin' hands. The world keeps turning with questionable intent. We all want to have it both ways, to be the tourist and the native, to reinvent ourselves but not to change. The breaking point is near. Why don’t we take it for real? I won’t be waiting for a better chance, time to get moving or scream, I'm here to make my stand. Life is dirty and it's down below. Can I take your hand baby do you know which way to go?

Train Song 04:42
There’s a freight train running through my veins and it keeps me unsatisfied, as it tells, tells my troubled mind that my home I’ll never find. And as my feet and I, we mind the gap there’s folks that I meet every day. By reading papers lonely eyes they hide and through the hard times we have to ride. Rambling ‘round along the tracks old friends I sing of you, thinking ‘bout how we used to roam fearlessly around the lake. From the mountain top we looked with thirst to know, know it all, but as the engine whistles out of tune I wake to find myself alone. And now I know that it’s too late but my train, it was delayed and what remains down in the gap, undone dreams along the tracks. And a signal failure lends us time, a slight chance to build a bridge but I follow tunnels through my mind and questions are all that I find. And as memories start screaming in my head I’m slipping to the platform’s edge but a good boy, a good boy that I am I crawl back on to the train again. Last night I dreamed that I was at the lake again and no one came to greet me, but for a moment in the freeze there I was, I was at home. There’s a freight train running through my veins and it won’t ever stop until I’ve reached my resting place in the cold, cold ground.
